How to Plan a Nairobi Wedding: Step-by-Step Guide

Start by deciding how many guests you will invite and what budget tier suits you. The guest count drives almost every other decision — venue size, tent dimensions, chair count, food quantity and décor scale.

Our wedding packages are tiered: 100, 200, 300, and 500 guests. For each tier, we publish exact prices on our wedding pages so you can budget accurately. As a rough guide:

• 100 guests: KSh 300,000 (ceremony only) – KSh 750,000 (complete day)
• 200 guests: KSh 600,000 (ceremony only) – KSh 1,500,000 (complete day)
• 500 guests: KSh 1,500,000 (ceremony only) – KSh 3,750,000 (complete day)

Decide which path fits your day. We offer four:

1. Ceremony Only — Just the ceremony space, aisle, designer seating and stage. Best if your reception venue handles its own setup.

2. Reception Only — The full reception build (Masterpiece Table, dance floor, lighting, sound) without the ceremony.

3. Complete Wedding Day Package — Both ceremony and reception combined into one end-to-end service. Most couples choose this.

4. Plan My Wedding (Itemised) — Build your own list à la carte. Hire individual chairs, tents, lights from KSh 100 per place setting.

Nairobi venues range from intimate gardens (Karen, Runda, Loresho private homes) to grand reception halls (Karen Country Club, Sarova, Windsor). Confirm your venue 6-12 months ahead — peak wedding months are December, April, August.

For each venue, ask: Is parking sufficient? Is there power? Are there restrictions on tent sizes or amplified music? Send us the venue details and we will confirm what tent fits and whether sidewalls / generators are needed.

Our ceremony package includes 9 designer chair styles to choose from: Gold Chiavari, Crystal Ghost (clear), French Louis, Luxury Ella, Vogue, Crossback, High Back, Rustic and Plastic Dressed. Pick one to match your wedding palette.

For decor, send us your colour palette and 2-3 inspiration photos. Our team builds a styling moodboard and confirms exact balloon, floral and lighting specs within 48 hours.

To secure your wedding date, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Balance is due 7 days before the event. We accept M-Pesa, bank transfer and cash. The deposit locks the entire crew, equipment, and date — we do not double-book.

30 days before the wedding, we confirm: final guest count, dietary requirements (if catering is included), exact aisle/dance floor/stage dimensions for the venue, decor colour palette finalised, and bridal party seating plan.

We also do a final walk-through of the venue with you (in-person or via video call) to confirm setup placement.

One week before, our crew does a site visit and walks through the schedule with you. The day before, our setup crew arrives at the venue (typically 6-8 hours before the ceremony for full-day packages). We handle setup, the wedding day execution, and post-event teardown — you focus on the celebration.

After the wedding, our team collects all equipment within 24-48 hours. You leave the venue clean.
